What is RCMC?
In general, registering your business under a variety of authorities has its perks and advantages. It is also possible to obtain the Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC). A RCMC authenticates a company that sells products that are registered with government agencies or authorities. A five-year validity period applies to the certificate. Any competent authority prescribed by the Foreign Trade Policy may grant a RCMC, such as an Export Promotion Council (EPC) or Commodity Board. According to the Foreign Trade Policy of India, exporters must register with the EPC citing their main line of business.

It is the Registering Authorities that issue the certificates to exporters and importers. A DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade) authorisation of these bodies to act as Registering Authorities includes Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), Commodity Boards, and Export Development Authorities.

The main objective of these organizations is to promote and enhance the development of Indian exports. They are divided into sectors, each representing a particular product category.
Procedures for registering with RCMC
You will need to fill out and submit Form ANF - 2C to the ESC. It will contain the following information:
Identify the relevant Export Promotion Council by name and address.
Applicant's name.
Applicant's registered office address.
Please provide the name and address of any branches you may have.
The number and details of the Import Export Code.
Certificate number for Export Houses.
Registration sought for a product.
Decide what your main business is.

Copies of the Import Export Code issued by the DGFT, which has been self-attested.
In the case of a partnership firm, a copy of the partnership deed would be required.
In the case of a company, please provide a copy of the Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA).
For trusts, a copy of the trust deed is required.
Partners/Directors' names, addresses, phone numbers, and other relevant information.
Copies of proof of manufacturing status (SSI Registration, SIA Certification) for the manufacturing sector.
It is necessary to obtain a certificate of NIL from a Chartered Accountant if no exports were made the previous year.
Members must pay their annual membership fees via demand draft or cheque payable to "Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council" at New Delhi.
